Rubber coating reduces slipping and helps to keep Sturman 15x70 in the hands for short observations or during transportation. It is not recommended to use the device in damp conditions or expose to rain.
The use of Porro prisms made of optical glass BaK4 in the design of astronomical binoculars Sturman 15x70 allows you to image quality the high coefficient of light transmission. Lens with multilayer antireflective coating is characterized by low losses of light reflection and help to obtain a high-contrast optical image. High multiplicity and luminosity of the optical observation device allow to watch even for fuzzy objects in the night sky.
Adjusting interpupillary distance (in the range of from 56 to 72 mm) helps you to configure Astrobinoculars 15x70 Sturman database under the eye of the observer, and the Central focusing mechanism provides simultaneous focusing of both eyes on your target object. The binoculars are quite heavy (almost 1.5 kg), so when carrying out observations you must use a tripod (socket with diameter of ¼ inch) in combination with a special adapter (sold separately).
